1 potato – thinly sliced
1/2 cup chick pea flour – besan
1/4 cup water
1/4 tsp Chili flakes
2 green chilies – finely chopped
1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves – finely chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp lightly roasted n crushed cumin seeds
salt n pepper to taste
oil to fry
METHOD
Add water to the chick pea flour and make a thick paste
Add all the dry ingredients into the paste and mix well
Dip the potatoes in the batter and fry on medium heat until they turn golden yellow
Serve with hot sauce or ketchup

This batter can be used with any vegetable for deep frying
