Spicy Prawn in Coconut Milk

12 Big Prawns – cleaned and deveined
8 garlic cloves – crushed
3 inch ginger – crushed
5 red chilies – crushed
1/2 tsp cracked black pepper
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp coriander powder
1 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp paprika
1 medium onion chopped
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1/4 tsp mustard seeds
2 sprigs curry leaves
2 tbs cooking oil
1/2 can coconut milk
Salt to taste
Cilantro for garnish

METHOD

Cleaned and soaked in juice of 1/2 lemon for 15 minutes – wash and drain well
Marinate the prawns in the first 8 ingredients- set aside for 15 mins
Heat oil in a pan on medium high
Add oil, then cumin,mustard and curry leaves
Add onions and let it slightly brown
Add marinated prawns and cook it on low heat for app 15 mins
Add coconut milk and cook for another 5 mins
Add 1 tsp of ginger garlic chili paste and cilantro for garnish

Serve Hot with  rice or roti
